Security

Last updated June 23, 2026

Security is the foundation of a memory engine. This page explains where your data lives, who can reach it, and how you stay in control.

Where your data lives

Your ledger and account data live in a Postgres database with row-level security. Every row is scoped to your account, so one account's data is never visible to another.

How we read your tools

Connections use scoped, read-only access. We read the activity you choose to share and never post, edit, or delete anything in your tools.

Encryption

Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and encrypted at rest by our database and storage providers.

Authentication

Sign-in runs through a dedicated authentication provider. We never see or store your tool passwords; connections use tokens you can revoke.

Our providers

We use a small set of providers for authentication, database and file storage, billing, and draft generation. Each one handles data only for its part of the service.

Revoking and deleting

You can revoke any connected tool in one click, which stops new reads at once. Closing your account removes your ledger and account data.

Reporting an issue

If you find a security issue, please write to security@thefoundershq.com and we will respond quickly.
